The Bite

A little something for a Tuesday treat …

The Bite
(A Lycanthropic Sonnet)

The bite became a wound of rancid smell
And then it healed as if it never were
As new sensations soon began to dwell
A beastly instinct wakened to concur
Confounded by my nightly escapades
Confined within a dream of running nude
Distress perplexed me in my dark charades
Expressive nightmares started to intrude
La Luna wove its fullness in the sky
And suddenly my mind went darker still
Distorted imagery within my cry
A feral rampage urging me to kill
The bite had given way to something new
And now I come to place my curse on you …
