Drabbles

Happy Tuesday! Let’s look at more anthologies.

Today we are discussing anthologies with a special type of short story: the drabble.

What’s a drabble?

I’m glad you asked.

A drabble is a story of exactly one hundred words, not including the title.

Writing such as story is more complex than one might think. Imagine writing a whole story with an exact word count of 100 words. No more, no less. But we find these stories to be uniquely entertaining.

A great place to explore drabbles is 100 WORD HORRORS.

100wordhorrors2A drabble is a short form of fiction that is exactly 100 words long (not including the title).

Kevin J. Kennedy, has once again brought together the best of the horror world to bring you an anthology that is packed with creepy tales.

Between these pages you will find over one hundred drabbles, written by a wealth of talented authors. From the best indie horror authors to Bram Stoker award winners and Amazon top sellers. We have monsters, mayhem, and madness. Come join us.

Authors in 100 WORD HORRORS include SSP’s own Lisa Vasquez, Donelle Pardee Whiting, and AJ Brown, along with Jeff Strand, Mike Duke, Michael Bray, Lisa Morton, Lee Mountford, Veronica Smith, Christopher Motz, and many, many more.

Bibliophilia Templum said, “The masterfully crafted horror drabbles herein, range from tragic to shocking to outright horrific … I cannot recommend this darkly fun collective enough.  The list of contributing writers is truly impressive and the stories are all disturbing works of literary art.”

Horror connoisseur Joan Macleod called it an “Awesome Read” and said, “It’s surprising how the authors can scare the crap out of you in so few words.”

100 WORD HORRORS is available on Amazon in Kindle, paperback, and hardcover.

And if you like that, check out 100 WORD HORRORS volumes 2 and 3 also.
